The Northern Cape is a province located in the northwest of South Africa. It is the largest and most sparsely populated province in the country, covering an area of 361,830 square kilometers. The Northern Cape is bordered by Namibia to the north, the Western Cape to the south, the Eastern Cape to the southeast, and the Free State to the east. It is home to a number of national parks and reserves, including the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and the Augrabies Falls National Park. The Northern Cape has a semi-arid climate, with hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters. The economy of the province is largely based on mining and agriculture, with diamonds, iron ore, and livestock being the main products.
