Vereeniging is a city in the Gauteng province of South Africa known for its heavy industry, including power stations, and its significant agricultural output of maize and sunflowers. Located about 50 kilometers south of Johannesburg, the city is a major transportation and educational hub with well-developed public infrastructure and numerous recreational facilities.
